The IOLTA Fund of the Bar of New Jersey
2025 Impact Report
A safe place to live. Protection from abuse. Access to health care, educational services and other essential resources.
IOLTA-funded programs help New Jersey residents address civil legal issues that can affect nearly every part of their lives while expanding understanding of the law and the legal system.
The IOLTA Fund of the Bar of New Jersey 2025 Impact Report highlights the work made possible through $52.4 million in grants supporting civil legal aid and public education about the law.
IOLTA NJ distributes revenue generated through attorney trust accounts to fund programs serving every New Jersey county. Funding supports legal assistance for lower-income residents as well as law-related education that helps people understand their rights and responsibilities through programs such as disability rights, elder law, mock trials and peer mediation training, along with publications.

When financial institutions choose to offer stronger rates on IOLTA accounts, more funding becomes available to support this work. Where attorneys and law firms bank matters.
